In this cold winter dawn,
when they are still curled…
Under their floral blankets…
Bholi rushes to the streets…
With her broken basket…
When mummies greet them
With a sweet morning kiss…
Bholi is out there looking for valuables
Thrown out in the streets…
Her eyes are shiny…
But her belly is empty…
Her arms & feet are skinny…
But are strong enough to carry out the responsibilities
Of her family…
She would love to play like them…
And probably to go to school…
But the weight of her broken basket…
Reminds her of her mother…
Who sleeps with no blanket…
in this cold winter.

Have you ever heard of a Passenger Pigeon,
A Tasmanian Tiger, a Great Auk or a Dodo?
It is okay if your answer is no…
Just check out Google for their Photo.
Are your children going to witness
A Tiger, a Panda and a Rhino?
Beg you not to say “God only knows”
Are you going to witness the largest forest fire?
The largest tsunami?
The worst famine & starvation?
Well, physics has its theory,
Every action has an equal
and opposite reaction.
And if you yourself do not want
To be part of a lost history
Respect the Greatest Miracle
Mother Earth
Who is still a mystery…
